Chef Daniel Stern plays a very active role in the community, supporting causes that are important for Philadelphia as well as people across the globe. Daniel has participated in Marc Vetri’s Great Chefs Event benefitting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation since the event’s inception. He also has served as the restaurant chair for the Susan G. Komen Annual Pink Tie Ball benefitting breast cancer for several years.
Daniel and his wife Jennifer are co-chairs of The Young Friends of the Abramson Cancer Center and they have also teamed up with Childhood Friends of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to help raise funds for research, education, advocacy and patient care.
Outside of Philadelphia, Daniel most recently traveled to Wall Street to participate in the 7th Annual Autism Speaks to Wall Street: Celebrity Chef Gala in which he assisted in raising $1.3 million for families affected by Autism. Daniel travels to Delaware annually to participate in Meals from the Masters, a fundraising event benefiting Meals on Wheels.
The team at R2L continues to partner with local businesses and organizations to provide support and raise awareness and funding:
- Annually partners with Philadelphia Style and participates in events such as the Best of Philly Style Event and Radnor Races
- Caters off-site events to support organizations such as the American Red Cross Association’s Red Ball; The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s PHeast and Flower Show; the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation; and Temple University’s 15th Anniversary Dinner
- Hosted the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Inaugural Power Party and the Philadelphia Film Festival’s Closing Party and partners with the Shops at Two Liberty Place with multiple community events
